Sweet hearts wedding favors!

Monday, May 18th, 2009

The theme they chose was a sweet heart wedding, and it was a very loving one one for them to choose. The presents, the invitations, the whole nine yards, all of the things in their wedding had a heart decoration of some kind on it. The pretty heart weddings they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. Even their unity candle for the ceremony had two little hearts hanging in front, and there were gorgeous candle holders for the unity candle and the tapered candles as well. The flowers and candles added an exquisite touch to the altar. Hearts were on the sides of the church pew where the wedding tulle was attached. I guess when you get married on Valentine’s Day, hearts are really a big deal. The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The table settings glittered with glasses for wine and champagne. She really did do a bang up job on table décor They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. On the table that the wedding party sat at, the new couple had very special champagne glasses. They had a silver double hearts wedding insignia embossed on them, very similar to the hearts wedding invitation they sent out.
The hearts wedding cake they had made had five layers and it was delicious. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She said she bought it at a wedding website where she got all of her accessories and reception supplies. From a few pictures of the two of them, they created a look-alike cake topper figurine for each of them; it was very impressive. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
In the end, we gave a heart favor to all of the guests. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Come to think of it, their entire wedding day was filled with sharp ideas they had. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.

Amazing wedding favor pens

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I decided to go online to find a wedding guest book pen for my wedding reception, and it turned out to be a great decision! There were tons of wedding themes you could choose from, as well as styles and colors of decorations and accessories. They had a lot of themes for weddings and receptions that you could choose from, that I really liked. Our wedding date is set for January, so I was thinking about having a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. When I think of a Christmas wedding ceremony, with a tree and decorations, I almost which we had chosen December as our wedding date. But the winter wonderland weddings are really spectacular too with all the lovely winter accessories available. So, a winter wedding it was to be. Next I had to get everything together for my beautiful wedding.

They had the prettiest winter wonderland invitations for our guests. Next, I picked out the accessories for our ceremony, including the ring pillow and flower basket. I was thinking I had everything for our winter wedding I could possibly need, but I found out that I had forgotten something. I didn’t remember the wedding book and wedding pen. So, back through the wedding accessories I went and checked out all the winter wedding guest books and wedding pen sets they had, and found the perfect one for us. Our wedding guest book had little snowflakes and hints of blue and little crystals placed on it. There were also the wedding pens to match with our guestbook. Now that I had our winter wedding guestbook and pen, it was time to find the perfect wedding photo album. There were a lot of wedding albums to choose from, but what really surprised me was all the anniversary albums they had available. I could use this selection in a few years too.

Now I was ready to move on to the supplies and decorations I needed for our wedding reception. They had it all as far as winter wonderland wedding supplies, and the first thing I bought for the reception were the champagne flutes, designed to match our wedding guest book and pen. They were so fantastic looking. The glassware, gel candles and lovely winter centerpieces I chose really made our tables look spectacular. If you’re like me and my fiance and you’re watching your budget, this place can really help with wholesale accessories and supplies they have to offer. I was surprised at what little we paid for such exquisite accessories.

There were a lot of cake toppers to check out too. Our cake topper showed a bride and groom in a whimsical winter activity. Our wedding cake was a five tiered with white sugar snowflakes and winter designs of icy blue and reds. Our choice of a wedding cake stand was a big silver sled. Our guests were really impressed with the silver sled cake stand idea that my fiance thought of.

On our the reception tables for our friends and family I had chosen these adorable little snowmen place card holders. I also chose wedding favors that were little snowflake gel candles for our guests. One of the prettiest decorations to the reception table was the gorgeous snowflake boxes the wedding favors were boxed in for our friends and family. They really added to the winter décor of the reception tables. Everyone seemed to be having a great time and the wedding favor pens were a hit! I’m so glad everything turned out so perfect, and I owe it to the great help I got from online shopping. It gave me a lot of help for planning the décor.

Great ring bearer pillows

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Online shopping for our reception accessories, flower baskets, and ring bearer pillows was my mom’s idea. She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. I found everything from invitations to wedding favors, and some items at wholesale prices. There was also quite a few other items that I was able to get at a discount. I saved on items like wedding tiaras for my bridesmaids, flower girl, and also bought my bridal tiara, flower girl basket, flower petals and checked out some great ring bearer pillow wedding suggestions. I was amazed at all the different styles of wedding ring pillows.

I couldn’t believe the lovely centerpieces and champagne flutes there were for the guests, with special bride and groom flutes too. There were elegant choices of candles and glassware to enhance my tables. If you need favors for themed weddings or destination weddings, they have that too. Some for a beach wedding, winter wedding, garden wedding and more, with beautiful and decorative favor boxes to choose from too. There were great little novelty favors too, like Vegas wedding gifts for friends and family, keychains, photo frames and more with a Las Vegas theme to them.

I chose the gorgeous crystal paperweights as the thank you gifts for our friends and families. Athough the favors were an added touch of elegance all on their own, I packaged them in exquisite little favor boxes. My favorite item I purchased was our cake topper. I think I liked the topper better than I did the cake itself. The butterfly with the beautiful satin bow really made an exquisite wedding cake topper.

Our wedding décor and wedding favors seemed to make quite an impression. A lot of our friends and family thanked me for such lovely wedding favors. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and a ring pillow. There were all kinds of supplies and great ideas for birthdays, wedding showers, baby showers, and girls night out parties too. I didn’t know it at the time, but I found out that’s where my sister got all of her party supplies and party favors for my bridal shower she threw for me. She said mom had told her about it too.

My sister is going to have a baby in a few months and I’m throwing her a baby shower, guess where I’m getting all of my shower supplies? I’m pretty sure on the items I’ve checked out so far, and plan to order them some time next week. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. Even though there are a lot of neutral colors I could use, I’d rather try to have the décor and supplies in a boy or girl theme.

I should listen to my mom more often and maybe she has other ways to find bargains like these in a lot less time than I normally take. I also want to thank her for helping with the reception arrangements and filling out all those thank you cards. I couldn’t have done it without you, mom. Maybe I can use this online shopping thing for our future anniversary parties. They had some very nice ideas for anniversaries, like decorations, cake toppers and even favor gifts for guests. There were some very excellent selections for mom and dad’s 30th anniversary. My sister and I should get together and discuss it. No use waiting until the last minute, it’s not that much longer before they reach their 30th year as man and wife.
