In fact I found quite a few super accessories like save the date cards that are perfect for the love theme I wanted. The invitations I sent out were little cards with two little silver hearts on the front. It was really elegant looking and the inside was preprinted, so all I had to do was fill in the blanks with all the necessary information of who, when and where.
   When the invitations were completed, I had to go forward with putting together the exact products that I would use. I selected a red velvet set of ribbons and bows that I would put on the end of and string between the church pews. The altar was beautifully decorated, with wonderful candle holders and candles, including our unity candle which was adorned with a heart made of red roses. We used red roses all over the wedding ceremony, like in my bouquet, where they were mixed with pink roses, and throughout the church. I even went as far as to have caged doves to be released as we exited the church.
   The wedding apparel that would be worn by those who were going to be in the wedding had already been selected. I picked out a white satin basket that had bows and lace decorating it for our flower girl. The rings also had a white satin ribbon on them, with a white pillow that had a gold double hearts wedding insignia on it for our ring bearer. My flower girl was going to wear a small tiara, and it was very similar in appearance to the one I had picked out for myself. She did look like a little princess in her lovely little pink flower girl dress, and she did such a super job in the ceremony. So did the ring boy, he was quite elegant in his little tuxedo with a red boutonniere in his lapel. He carried the ring pillow like a pro and kept in step with the rest of the wedding party. I was so proud of both of them.
  The centerpieces we had made up for the reception dinner had tiny hearts intermixed with roses that were white, pink, and red. On each of the reception tables were little two hearts wedding candles to set the romantic mood of the theme I had chosen, and at each setting was the nicest place card holders I could find. The wedding favors we got our guests should be a terrific souvenir from our wedding; they had handles in the shape of a heart attached to tiny silver bells. With the silver on them, they were rather striking. The flowers and candles added an exquisite touch to the altar. Hearts were on the sides of the church pew where the wedding tulle was attached. I guess when you get married on Valentine’s Day, hearts are really a big deal. The bride was so beautiful that you couldn’t take your eyes off of her, and she was the center of an unforgettable ceremony.
The décor of the reception included a plethora of hearts and flowers. All the centerpieces were bouquets of gorgeous red and white roses, with little hearts sticking out of each one, and they had little silver hearts wedding place card holders at each table setting. The table settings glittered with glasses for wine and champagne. She really did do a bang up job on table décor They had their names and the date of the wedding inscribed on the wine glasses, and the champagne flutes were crystal. On the table that the wedding party sat at, the new couple had very special champagne glasses. They had a silver double hearts wedding insignia embossed on them, very similar to the hearts wedding invitation they sent out.
The hearts wedding cake they had made had five layers and it was delicious. The cake was a dream for both the eyes and the stomach. They had a personalized wedding cake topper that was a spitting image of the two of them; come to think of it, this may have been the only item in the whole wedding that wasn’t a heart. They were really very unique, I’ve never seen a wedding cake topper quite like this one. She said she bought it at a wedding website where she got all of her accessories and reception supplies. From a few pictures of the two of them, they created a look-alike cake topper figurine for each of them; it was very impressive. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
In the end, we gave a heart favor to all of the guests. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Come to think of it, their entire wedding day was filled with sharp ideas they had. I know hearts are the a perfect choice for a Valentines Day wedding, but I was impressed with all the gorgeous decorations and accessories she found for everything. In my opinion, the wedding cake topper took the cake, so to speak. That could work great on a birthday cake or maybe even a graduation cake, not just a wedding cake. She told me they have supplies and decorations for many events, and promised to show me where she shopped. Well, anyway, the wedding ceremony and the reception were a definite success and everyone had a wonderful time. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. The pictures she showed me on the brochures were fantastic.

When I picked the theme for the baby shower, I couldn’t help but think of Ernie on Sesame Street and his favorite bathtub song of ‘Rubber Duckie You’re the One.’ It seemed like a longshot, but I checked to see if there were any duck wedding favors available anyway, and I was pleasantly surprised. It was a lot simpler to put together such a baby shower than I anticipated it would be, especially with all of the outstanding input I gleaned from suring the Internet. On the world wide web, I found a bunch of great ideas, and that’s pretty much where I found everything I needed, but I did get a few recommendations from some of the people at my school. The people at the shower thought they were to die for, and they got handed out to the winners of the games we did at the shower as well.
Before the guests starting arriving I filled a big square container with water and placed little rubber ducks in it. A couple of hours into the shower, I picked a number out of a jar, and the person with that numbered duck received an award. We had a lot of fun with the guess the baby picture game, too. The guests were told in advance to take a baby picture of theirs to the shower with them, and then we put them all on a board and put the board in the front of the room. All of the people at the shower got a good look at all of the pictures on the board, and then they sat down and attempted to guess who was in what picture. The one with the most correct matches won a prize.
Everyone enjoyed themselves, and the new mommy picked up quite a pile of wonderul presents for her baby girl. I’m very happy with the amount of help I got from going on the Internet. I pulled off one heck of a baby shower, even though it seemed pretty far-fetched at first. The idea of centering it around ducks made for an absolutely adorable theme.

We had little twinkle white lights hanging all around the dance area, and piles of haystacks scattered about. Our wedding cake topper was not to be believed, it was figurines of a cowgirl roping her man and hauling him to the altar. We all had a good laugh from our whimsical cake topper. In fact there were lots of laughs through the whole reception, with all the dancing and partying that was going on, we were all having a fantastic time. We even managed to have a hayride arranged for everyone, and that really went over big time, especially with the kids.
Our bridesmaids, groomsmen, and all the people that cared enough to be in our wedding party received nice little gifts from us too. All the bridesmaids got super little ceramic favors, and the guys got these awesome cowboy steins as wedding thank you gifts. But for the little flower girl and the ring boy we bought tee shirts that had flower girl and ringboy printed on them. Everyone seemed to be happy with the thank you gifts we chose for them.

I have my girlfriends night out wedding book from the night my sister and my friends threw me a fantastic wedding shower. I’ve got so many great pics of that very special night I shared with my friends. The pretty things they had arranged at the party and the exciting places we went to, that evening, were all caught on film. The pictures we have really show just how outrageous that night became . We went to a spot where there were male dancers and snapped a few photos there. They knew how to work the crowd. That is definitely a night I’ll never forget, that was the first and only time I’ve ever been to a place that had male dancers. They may not be as famous as the Chippendale dancers, but these were more than entertaining, that’s for sure.
I got a wedding memory book along with everything else I was buying when I was preparing for our wedding. I’m glad I got one with as many pages as I did. Actually, I had to get two of them to hold all of the pics. Once the books were full, I still had pictures left over. One album had a space for our wedding guests to write their names in it. They were both lovely personalized memory books with my first initial on the left, the initial of our last name, and on the right my husbands first initial. These books have such a look of elegance with it’s satin ribbon and gorgeous fabric. There are also refill pages available if needed, and we certainly need them.
A lot of life-changing events are recorded in my photo albums. The number of keepsake memory books I have will only go up since I hang on to them all. Right now, I have my bachelorette book, my wedding book and my baby shower books. My daughter will be three in a few days and my son is only one. We got her a pink book and him a blue one because we decided to find out ahead of time what sex they’d be. Their first step and christening and so forth are in the books. The baby memory books have pictures, handprints, and birth certificates stored there, too. I slipped an official invitation from the showers and wedding in each album as well. I could open up a photo gallery with all of the pictures I have stored away.
I intend to keep the memories of those wonderful days alive for the rest of my life, and I plan on keeping my memory books in the closet, no matter how much my husband keeps complaining. Of course, now I’m going to be shooting home videos on a camcorder that I recently purchased, so I’m focusing on making space on some shelving in the living room. So now, with the albums we have and the ones we will probably have in the future and all the videos I plan to record, I’m probably going to need a lot more room than originally planned. Well, a person needs to be able to go back in time every now and then, that’s just a part of who I am. The years ahead with our children are memories I want to hang on to for the rest of my life, and I definitely intend to.

The guys had other funny gifts for groom they gave him, to ad to the merriment of his bachelor party. My girls night out party was fantastic too and I got a lot of gag gifts, but also quite a few nice bride gifts too. I got a beautiful evening bag made of white satin with a white ribbon across the top and under a lovely crystal button clasp. Inside the bag they had put little gifts like a manicure set, a girls night out tee shirt, a bride to be brooch and a few little necessities a girl likes to have with her. But I think my favorite little novelty bride gift was a throw pillow that said ‘tonight’ on one side, and ‘not tonight’ on the other. It was definitely an unusual and funny throw pillow.
On the other hand, the bride and groom wedding gifts we got the reception were all more serious. We got about three toasters, four blenders and lots of waffle irons, but that is to be expected when you have so many people attending your wedding. We did get some of the things I had written on to our bridal registry, like the china I wanted and the food processor. One of the gifts my husband truly loves is his bar side set, which also included a very nice pool table from his dad and mom. As a wedding gift from my mom and dad they bought our plane tickets for our honeymoon to the Greek Isles. Our family and other loved ones really gave us some outstanding wedding presents.
Most of all, our friends and family being at our wedding to share that magical experience with us was the greatest gift. They have shared so much with us, our last night of being single parties, our engagement party, and our wedding and reception. Being surrounded with great, supportive people like them is what makes life so much more enjoyable. It’s also great to have such wild and crazy friends in the mix to throw you such fantastic girls night out parties and bachelor parties.
